1) Alfredo de Pietra / Italy

Alfredo De Pietra was born in Potenza, (Italy) in 1955. Actually he lives in Palermo, Sicily (Italy).

He began to listen to Irish music in the mid-seventies: his first musical passions, regarding this music, were for the Chieftains and the Bothy Band.

During the years he has enlarged his music knowledge of Celtic music, listening mostly to Celtic music for the guitar. In 2000 he put online a web site:
(http://xoomer.virgilio.it/aldepi1/english.htm) devoted to Celtic music, very popular among the Italian fans of Celtic music.

Since 2001 till today he has been one of the main contributors of the monthly Italian CD/magazine “Keltika”, for which he has written dozens of reviews, articles and interviews with the main Celtic musicians from allover the world.

Alfredo De Pietra is also a Doctor in Medicine, specialized in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care, and works as family doctor in Palermo, Sicily.

He has written a very instructive page about guitar with useful links (in italian though).

There is an interview with Alfredo about "his" magazine Keltika" at http://www.suite101.com/article.cfm/16912/100452

2) Rainer Swoboda is GuitarDoc

Well, I often write him letters, since he practises in Walldürn/Germany and we treat many of his patients in our hospital...but this is his "other image":
He plays guitar and sings in (at least) two groups:

a) LOOSE CHIPPINGS

Dieter Bauer – mandolin, Wolfgang Buchholz – violin, Jochen Kaboth – voice, banjo, guitar, Rainer Swoboda – guitar, voice

LOOSE CHIPPINGS

Four more or less old lads - what could you expect= An average age of the Rolling Stones but not that old as the Dubliners - OK! Mature guys especially musically speaking.
We play together for years now we have arranged ourselves with our weak sides which is easy as long we are successful.... Come to our concerts and have fun with us!

b) James Joyce and Friends

Rainer Swoboda, guitar

The members:
"James Joyce and friends": James Joyce (voice, mandolin, entertainment), an Irish musician, who lives in England actually. He comes to Germany for two performances per year, mostly in spring and fall.
Rainer Swoboda(guitar,voice) from Walldürn/Germany
Manfred Klose(accordeon, blues harp, guitar) from Kitzingen/Germany
Uwe and Rosalba Seitz (northumbrian small pipes, banjo) from Sennfeld/Germany.

We play traditional celtic music from Ireland, England ans Scotland. With the music we tell stories from this area. this mixture between text and music is very well received as we have seen in numerous concerts:

3) Alexander Fischer is RockDoc and GuitarDoc

Alexander Fischer

5) Susanne Pechel is GuitarDocand BenefizDoc

GuitarDoc

due to a school teacher who did not allow her to arrange a beneficial recital in her school she shifted towards independant organisation and organised her events on her own.

Coming from the piano she switched to guitar

From this she could rise a beneficial organisation and engage herself in several overseas countries with significant projects.

Whoever can invite her for a recital and make it beneficial for her work is welcome to do so!
