Dr. Sam’s first CD, “Minimal Service – CPT 99211” has also been re-released and now contains the two songs previously on a special release 2 song CD. This all-in-one CD is also available at the above website.
Since 1996, Dr. Sam has been using music and humor to draw attention to issues of key importance to healthcare. His unique use of this medium has allowed him to give voice to issues of concern to his healthcare provider colleagues that may not be as easily accepted in other formats. Historically, physician frustrations and concerns have not been widely accepted for discussion by the media. Dr. Sam’s first CD, “Minimal Service – CPT 99211” by Dr. Sam & The Managed Care Blues Band received widespread attention and resulted in national radio and television features in which Dr. Sam could use his humorous approach to discuss issues of concern regarding managed healthcare. He is now using the same approach to bring to light issues related to crippling malpractice insurance premiums and frivolous lawsuits.
